Thanks for the advice - ill stick to just lightly spraying the mot and leave the clay dry
Regards the slope - it's needs to have a run off for water - nothing major though
So - my clay soil is now relatively level with a few high spots and a few soft spots.
Plan is to compact MOT with a whacker this weekend to get a flat (slightlg sloping) base on which I will put down some weed membrane and then drop some nice gavel on and maybe build a raised area with...
Morning all
My garden is sloping and quite long. I have leveled the bottom area (roughly 20ft x 20ft) which is all heavy clay soil.
I am going to be building some steps down from the sloping section, a patio area (slightly raised) and the rest will be gravel.
The main thing I am...
Hey
I am going to be putting in a sleeper retaining wall and raised beds next week. Should i go for hardwood or softwood sleepers and what's the difference?
I am levelling a section of my garden (around 10m x 10m) in order to lay a patio on which will be a summer house housing a hot tub etc.
The soil is serious clay - you could put this stuff on a wheel a make a mug......

Well wickes sell cellotex general insulation board and also cavity wall insulation board.
Which one should I use?

Thanks

My house has cavity walls which all have cavity wall insulation.
On the side of my house is a single skin brick utility room with a pitched roof.
I want to insulate the external 3 walls and then plasterboard over the insulation so my plan is to build some timber batons onto the brickwork...
Thanks
My tiles are 30x40 ceramics so they are quite big.
For the floor I've used bal rapid flex but it's pricey - I paid the price as it is floorboards with hardy backer so I wanted to be safe. Walls are different though and no issues of flex so can anyone recommend a good powered...
Hi guys
Bathroom is almost ready to tile. Ive done my homework and have a few questions which I hope you can help me with.
1. One of the walls has been rendered by my plasterer with a sand and cement mix. Can I tile straight onto this and do I need to use any special sort of adhesive...
Lol
Thanks for the advice. I will offer up the bath again tomorrow and do some more accurate measurements.
One of the reasons why I like the idea of tiling behind is because it is a rental
House and i thought it might be easier to replace the bath if it is just slotted in?
