I have a small repair to do on my kitchen floor,
I used bal sandstone colour.
I cannot find it anywhere local to me know and only online large bags.
Anyone know a close match to this
I usually use no nonsense but i always seem to get cracks appear around plaster coving after time.
Is this just a typical thing with caulk
Would a glue or paintable silicone like ct1 be a better option
Yes i know it needs vontact adhesive but just wondered about the russ strip as you use them against wall upstands but not seen any info about them round rooflights
Anyone know if your suposed to use russ strip round the upstand of a rooflight.
Theres very little info on russ strips.
I used one on the upstand against my wall when i did the extension, even though i dont think it needed it as i think kts only for certain size sq meter roofs
On a flat roof, when sticking epdm to a upstand round a rooflight is it ok if the upstand is just treated timber , 6x2 for example, rather then boarding over the timber with osb
So as im building a flat roof with a rooflight in i know the glass must sit at a 3 degree fall.
My question is, if the roof is aalready falling atleast 3 degrees does the rooflight need to have a additional 3 degrees on the upstand frame, or can my frame sit on the roof flat which would already...
Would green oak be a better option, its just the price here keeps rocketingcurrently i assume due to leaving eu.
I dont realy wanna replace summin in my lifettime if possible (38 currently by the way)
Anyone know the lifespan of one which is out of the ground.
Thinking of using one to hold up a flat roof pergola, oak prices are just increasing all the time in my area
For wall plate fixing
9x2 timber into part brick wall part rendered block, 3.7m span
I was going to either sleeve anchor or resin and rod. Every gap between joists alternating top and bottom if anyone could advise
Again i presumed oak but had a few people say treated softwood should last longer then me if looked after but think ill go with the oak, i know ill need stainless fixings for it, but with regards to the tshape post base i was gona wrap a bit of epdm over it so the oak doesnt co e into contact as...
I did think id need to double up the bearer.
Bit unsure what size pile would be appropriate
Wasvalso debating the post material, whether to get green oak or just treated softwood, look isnt important, i just wanna know they will be still there in 60+ years if im still in the house
