Due to plumber only leaving only one inch of 20mm blue plastic water pipe above tile level, I now need to remove one ceramic tile, make hole in concrete floor, so that I can get a connection onto said pipe, after which I need to replace the tile. Tiles of this pattern are no longer available...

Many years ago a plumber installed water into my utility room using MDPE blue pipe, I asked him to run a branch and leave enough pipe for me to connect an outside tap to. For some unknown reason he cut the pipe off, 2 inches above the ground, this made it rather tight for me to fit a shut off...

RCD will be mounted on wall outside bathroom, as will isolating switch, cable will runn through partition wall 4 inches wide, so no problem with the cable run.

Have not yet purchased the RDC. Ring circuit does not have RDC only fused system. The pump is internal in the power shower unit, which will be in the bathroom, Isolation switch and RDC will of course be outside of the bathroom, but I am not certain which one should be first in line from the...

Just purchased new power shower and it states that a 30mA RCD and double pole fused 3 amp isolating switch should be installed, my question is; from the ring circuit which do I fit first RCD or Isolating switch.

Did as you suggested, micro switch works every easily, at top of shower, near the motor there was some blackening on the cables, which wiped off with paper, no sign of water there, top is sealed, water comes in from rear, near bottom. Think I will phone Gainsborough in the morning to see what...

Hi All, I want to put an additional radiator in my lounge room. Question is; where the existing radiator pipes turn 90* into both valves on the radiator, via solder elbows, can I replace the elbows with “T” connectors and then continue with new pipe to the new radiator? Thanks a lot.

I should have said that all radiators have thermostats with 5 settings, are they referred to as trvs? Setting room themostat higher, increases room heat, but again will shut down until room goes quite cold.
