As you can see we have some metal window frames and kitchen door that looks quite dated. We want to refurb the kitchen but other than replacing the windows and door can you think of any ways of making them look a bit better / more modern? Any ideas how much it would cost to have them replaced...

Just to add, as you can see on the picture the device combines cables not just coming through under the door but there's also a cable coming up through the floorboard

Hi, about to have laminate flooring laid in our bedroom and noticed a weird little cable and attachment under the carpet in the corner of the room (see attached picture). Does anybody know what this is? Can I remove it? The cables lead under the carpet in our landing towards another bedroom...
