I cannot open a bedroom window. I removed the lockable window handle to reveal the mechanism. The square socket in the mechanism is chewed up and I cannot get it to turn and open the window.I don't see how I can remove the mechanism or open the window. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can I use Stainless steel pipe as sold by Focus DIY to connect a chrome towel rail to a 2 pipe central heating system using normal compression fittings? Thank you.
