Yale door contact on kennel not working

You answered your own question. The sensors dont work on metal doors or frames as they block the signal.

Spider or fly crawling accross the lens could activate the alarm hypothetically but less likely than a moth. If you have had a false alarm look for either curtains moving - post through the letterbox or a source of heat causing air currents. radiator - back of fridge

wireless alarm which one to buy

Yep strangely while out quoting yesterday I told a customer this. An alarm will not stop you being burgled if the thief wants to smash and grab. It also depends on what response you get from your neighbours which could be nothing at all. You cant say fairer than that.

    Yale HSA6400 Siren

With sirens you can have as many as you feel like. They dont take up a slot in the systems device area. The control panel sends out an activation signal and any siren programmed to receive it will activate. You could have 1000. (although I believe somewhere along the line you will reach the end...

motorsport used to be very exciting esp when you could stand right next to the circuit with just a straw bale as protection and there was noise and fumes and sparks and death and everything. Now its run off areas so big you need binoculars to see the cars.

    Yale 6400 series

Correct as it DOES NOT GO INTO SLEEP MODE after a single detection. it reports quite happily for many more.

    Yale 6400 series

Here's a tip. If that sensor is going to detect you arming the panel everytime then hypothetically that sensor could still be in sleep mode for a minute after you have set the alarm. So if you leave your house at your alarm wont be protecting for a minute in that room. You can bring sensors...

Discussion regarding a Yale HSA6400 and custom CCTV / Alarm

I presume you have considered physical security first. Secure doors / windows/ locks /gates security lights? Otherwise all your security equipment will do is report after the event unless you are only a minute away.
