    What could cause these spots?

Would need to double check extractor. The walls are filled with the blown fibre stuff. I noticed the waste pipes on the exterior are not sealed around the pipes, is it possible that the cavity would get wet from this?

Hi, in our ensuite bathroom we have these spots in the wall (exterior - cavity wall). Any idea what could cause these spots?

Sorry, but does ‘infil’ mean to fill in them gaps in the mortar or plasterboard over the whole lot?

    Door frame removal

Hi, Removed this door frame as we are replacing the normal door with a sliding barn style door. What would be the best thing to plaster over the reveal? Could polyfilla powder be used here or would proper plaster be better?

Open therm - Is it worth it over the standard switching?

Is it ok for the drayton and boiler to still be powered from the same fused spur when switching to opentherm? This is the 4 core cable currently coming into the wiser hub, the grey wire is connected to terminal number 3 on the wiser backplate. Let me know if this is correct in order to get...

Open therm - Is it worth it over the standard switching?

Thanks, Currently have the single channel kit. Boiler is a combi and only have a sinlge heating zone. I am running a room thermostat in the main hall and 2 TRVs, I plan to extend TRVs into other rooms at some stage. I'm assuming the switching between the 'standard' and opentherm switching you...

Open therm - Is it worth it over the standard switching?

I recently installed a drayton wiser hub along with a few trvs and room stat. I noticed that the wiser hub supports opentherm as well and recently seen that my boiler (Ideal Vogue C40) also has support for it. Would it be worth switching to opentherm? I understand a slight tweak to the wiring...

Possible to wire this RF light switch to this shelly device?

Had a guy in to install the lights just before xmas, and by default he is using these wireless thinkbee rf switches. I am running home assistant, so would also like to control these lights via that too, hence the shelly device :). The shelly does wifi/bt as well.

Possible to wire this RF light switch to this shelly device?

Hello, I was looking into some smart switches and came across the shelly devices. I have an RF switch which is in the loft that controls the soffit down lights at the front of the house. I was wondering if it's possible to wire a shelly plus 1PM up with this? The wiring of the RF switch is...

    Slightly widening doorway in hall

Ended up finding another very similar door that's more suited to the doorway. Less hassle since we can keep the existing width and just remove the liners.

    Slightly widening doorway in hall

Nah unfortunately not, all standard widths. I'm not too worried about creating a mess tbh, it's going to have to be plastered anyway due to door liner deletion. So it's just about getting tips on how to widen the opening.

Light switch stuck in ‘on’ position

Looks like the PIR just has a really long timer XD, think we're all good. And yes, will be replacing those brass fittings, going for smoked bronze, much more modern looking :).

Light switch stuck in ‘on’ position

Thanks for the input! So I after adjusting the PIR sensor lux sensitivity, the LED floodlight came on. Problem is, now it won't turn off haha. The light switch stuck in the on position I can confirm works, and acts to allow the PIR sensor to work. I tested this by removing the wires from the...

    Slightly widening doorway in hall

Most likely, I'm sure it would still function the same but might not look the best with the opening being narrower than the recommended.
