Hi my vulcan boiler pilot light comes on and stays on and it sounds like its pumping everything ok, but it seems to stay on the pilot light (the gas just doesn't kick in as it should. so we currently have no central heating at all Can anyone help? Cheers, Jez

thanks, your spot on, helped me find the problem the ignition lead had slipped back slightly, so wasn't igniting. Thanks, may you have many children.

Hi, I have a very old Vulcan boiler; and have no paper work on it. The pilot light won't light there is a spark but doesn't fire up. To describe the boiler a bit more; the ignition switch is top right, and below this (about half way down there are two buttons). but i aint sure what these are...

Looks like that's it mr Cog (your a star), it stays in the A position, the demand light comes on though. Is a divertor valve easy to fit? Cheers for your help, I thought it was the pump, so you saved me loads of dosh. Thanks, Jez
