Hmm, that's fair enough. Maybe the right thing to do is get this electrician back as I can't see how else I'll tackle this as he's put it in a really awkward position where it can't go vertically or horizontally (and I'm not too skilled with electrics if it wasn't already obvious)

it’s a cavity wall though so it’s hollow on the inside. Do I just build out the hole around the edge until it’s sealed up?

I'm planning on filling it, just the holes get into the cavity of the party wall so just assumed I should fill it with foam and then plaster on that.

That is a very fair point. He did tell me numerous times he did report it to GasSafe but every time GasSafe said no but I do have a warranty certificate. I'll mention this to GasSafe tomorrow
