Yes you are being nosy questioning why he wants to do it so that you might be able to come up with a helpful alternative solution. Stop backing him into a corner you will only irritate him

    Retractable awning

It looks like limestone to me which probably means the surface is not flat across the length of where the blind will go and may catch when it is rolled up. So I think I would add some sort of spacer to each bracket so that they stand off and allow plenty of clearance. I would not use wood as...

    Opening a roller blind mechanism

Dyson V11 Animal - not working

Depends on how much you are prepared to spend on it. Batteries approx. £90, new body with switch and controls approx. £140. Try here https://www.dyson.co.uk/support or a google search first though before you start throwing parts at it. My guess and it is only a guess is that it needs a new battery.

    Gas hob ignition spark cracked

Try dribbling down the side of the electrode inside the ceramic insulator. Never seen it done but it's probably worth a try. You can't make it any worse as long as you don't glue the whole assembly to the hob and can replace it in the event you need to replace it.

Is there anyway to save this 'Lawn' on a budget... What's the best option?

No weed killer is going to get rid of the dandelions. What are you hoping to achieve, if its just a general purpose lawn for kids to play on just feed it and add some moss killer and mow it ( not too short ) twice a week during the growing season. If you want a show lawn or a bowling green then...
