    Baxi Bermuda back boiler

Ah this brings me back to my old bermuda back boiler. I had nothing but trouble with it since I moved in. Like you the rads were not hot enough. Recently changed the boiler to a baxi 105he and the rads are now extremly hot. The plumber said the old boiler was just not up to the job which seems...

Is this too expensive for a new boiler installation?

Many thanks for all your replies. I dont have the internet over the weekend hence no posts. My plumber has not mentioned replacing the TVR's on the rads but a few of you think he should. The rads are pretty much new ( 2 years old) so I guess the TVR's are as well - would they still need...

Is this too expensive for a new boiler installation?

The cost online for this boiler works out approx £700 (inc VAT) so he is adding £1300 on top. I thought it was dear but there is mixed reactions.

Is this too expensive for a new boiler installation?

If this is cheap for 3-4 days work then I'm in the wrong business. Just to add another question is the boiler quoted for worth going with? - Baxi 105he

Is this too expensive for a new boiler installation?

The plumber said he will need to join about 3 pieces of flue to reach the roof. Yes this price includes a new gas pipe from the meter and he did mention about cleaning out the central heating system but not a power flushing machine. Thanks for your replies.

Is this too expensive for a new boiler installation?

I have had a quote to replace my back boiler with a combi baxi 105he including vertical flue kit in airing cupboard which will go through the roof. The quote also includes the removal of hot water cyliner and tank in loft and unnecessary pie work, controls pumps. Boiler to have a mechanical...

    Back boilers vs conventional boilers

I'm like you and have a back boiler which is noisey and would love to change it, so a guesstimate on changing it for a condensing boiler would be appreciated. My only thought on expense would be if the flooring (carpets etc) to get to the pipes etc will need to come up.

Reply for Allymillsy Just a curious question. Do you get kettling on your boiler when the temp setting is high. I also have baxi bermuda back boiler and cannot stand the thing.

    Bleeding apart from the radiators?

I think the system has been de sludged. I have bought the house recently and noticed two empty bottles in the loft already used for flushing out the system. Do you think it needs doing again?

    Bleeding apart from the radiators?

There seems to be alot of air in the system - on boiler firing up there seems to a sudden rush of air and I can also hear the air running through the pipes. I have bled all rads but they dont produce any air apart from the highest rad (towel rail) but only a small amount comes out. Is there...
