Well, no one particularly advertises where the products are coming from and if there are any spares etc going to be available in the future, but hey ho - its been purchased now :) and needs fitting. You kindly mention about extending it - I presume the extension would be a female thread and...

Fitting a bath spout - not enough thread!

Hi everyone, hopefully a very simple one but can not get my head around it. I'm mounting a wall mounted bath spout and separate taps, by Hudson reed. http://www.homesupply.co.uk/hudson-reed-topaz-hexagonal-wall-mounted-bath-spout-tap-bc309hx=BC309HX.htm The 3/4" thread on the spout is not...

Ground floor suspended floor joists into solid brick wall

Thanks. Sleeper walls might be an issue as I would have to dig them out right next to the existing wall foundations - or in reality is that not really an issue?

Ground floor suspended floor joists into solid brick wall

Hi Vinn, Its the same room yes, but the option of Limecrete is no longer an option - therefore this post is asking specifically with regards to the suspended timber floor and what peoples opinions would be upon how to attach the joists to it - is there a problem with me posting this separately...

Hi all, So the concrete floor (50mm thick) in the kitchen area of my victorian mid terrace house that is damp needs to come up along with the back fill soil underneath. The whole kitchen area is at least 300mm higher than it should be from previous occupants of the house. The outside has been...

How can you tell if you've got breathable pait/lead paint etc in Victorian house?

Hi all, Trying to sort out an old Victorian property, whereby trying to make it breathable again to help with damp etc. Things like concrete walls are obvious to spot, but a lot of the property (upstairs) have original lime plaster walls, with only new bts (like window openings/sockets etc)...

Solid wood flooring, what are my options without raising the height?

No cellar, by crawl space there is probably 200mm-300mm under most of the flooring - so lets say not really! I'm going to take a look at whether or not there is a good way of getting olf floorboards up (non- t&g) in a reliable method to not damage them, then relay them closer together without gaps.
