    What type of isolating valve to electric shower.

    Hi all. I wish to fit the above into the 15mm supply pipe. I have a 15mm ball valve but it looks quite restrictive in the centre and I don't want to lose water pressure. I could use one of those lever ball valves or a standard brass gate valves. any advice welcomed, thanks in advance...

    Hi, I have done the same thing a few years ago. I assume the socket box is recessed? I took a spur off to a new switch. I removed the switch plate & box and terminated the cables ( you will have 2 reds, 2 blacks & 2 earths?) in a junction box which stayed on the wall inside. The new switch box...

    Thanks for the reply. Just been measuring up for cable length and I am a metre short so the new type will be brown & blue now when i get it. So the junction box wiring will be brown from plate switch to R1, blue to R2, earthing as normal.

    Thanks for the reply. First thing I thought was that the earthing was live but the rcd would have tripped. As you say how would I have done it, hoping to keep the colours the same when wiring up.
