Hello There is a badly positioned mains socket about half way up the wall in my kitchen. I don't want it there. What's the correct way to remove it. can I just take it out, tape up the wires, leaving them where they are and polyfilla over the hole in the wall? Thanks for any help Kingsley

Bicarbonate of soda. The best cleaner there is! White vinegar too is excellent. You don't need to waste money on expensive chemical cleaners.

Thanks for the replies. I can't find the colour I want in special tile paint. shiznit76, do you mean paint them using a regular paint and then use a gloss or satin varnish?
