Thanks guys, I contacted Permaroof who confirmed water based is a much easier application. They only provide contact adhesive in the kits as it can be used all year round whereas water based needs to be minimum 5 degrees. Will go with water based and contact 100mm round the edges.
Thanks for that, most videos do seem to use a water based adhesive however I am looking at a firestone kit from permaroof which only comes with contact adhesive. Would you advise against this?
Hi guys, I'm pretty much decided on replacing my felt shed roof with EPDM, just got a few questions I'd appreciate some advise on.
Is Firestone EPDM of higher quality than the likes of Shed over?
What is the easiest method of application? I'm concerned that contact adhesive sets fully on...
I'm not concerned about going electric on the off chance the boiler breaks down, I can get a shower at work if/when that happens.
I checked flowrate at the bathroom supply and got:
14 lpm from the cold water tap
8 lpm from hot water tap fully opened
4.5 lpm from hot water with reduced...
My main concern is that if i open my hot water tap fully it has less pressure than when I open my cold water tap fully, I thought this may cause issues when entering the mixer.
In addition, when I open the hot water tap half way the water is way hotter than if I open the tap fully. Would the...
We are getting a professional showeroom instal and are undecided as to what type of shower to put in. We have a Baxi 105e combi boiler which I'm sure is not the best out there as it was installed when the house was built. Mains water supply is good.
Originally we wanted to go with a mixer...
Hi guys :)
I currently have an 8.5 kw shower fitted and the pressure from the shower head is not what I would like it to be. I live in a soft water area and have checked that the head is not blocked. I ran the shower with the head disconnected on the lowest heat setting, turned off and...
Thanks JohnD!!!
Pretty much narrowed it down to a toss up between a Zanussi and a Bosch, more than likley a Zanussi as they are a little easier on the wallet and seem to be fairly reliable :D
Thanks for the replies guys :D
JohnD - Do the Which reviews take into account build quality/reliability? I'm not overly bothered if the machine has lots of features, just want a well built reliable machine and noticed there were quite a few Hotpoints/Indesits in the Which list.
I should add that I have already had a look around and the machines I have so far shortlisted are:
Zanussi
Whirlpool
John Lewis
Hotpoint
Indesit
Samsung
Any of these I should avoid?
Our old Hotpoint washing machine has finally given up and its time to source a replacement.
Can anyone in the know advise on which brands to avoid and which are generally accepted as being decent quality at the lower end of the market, our budget will be around £300?
There are only two of...
Our house had a veritas 8 alarm installed when we purchased it and we have rarely used it since moving in.
I pulled out all the stops tonight and set the alarm off by opening the main panel. Having forgot our PIN I spent what seemed like a lifetime scouring the net for info on resetting...
