    Imperial radiators

Is it that some radiators have 3/4 in BSP connections and I need to make sure the rad I buy has 1/2 in? Leigh.

    Imperial radiators

Thanks. I got it right up to the 1/2 in vs 3/4 in nut discussion. Which nut needs to be half inch? Compression nuts have always been the same size for me on 15mm pipe, so is the BSP side of things what I need to worry about? Sorry to be dim - might as well do it right! I assume I...

    Imperial radiators

Pete, those are nice! Now I'm not next to.a radiator so I can't quite remember exactly how it goes but here's a stab at it! The (I think) tapered ends go in the radiator (or it arrives with them already in) and then you would normally just connect the TRV using the (captive?) compression...

    Imperial radiators

Hi, These tails are the telescopic ones and would prefer to go fixed. Or do they sell the fixed ones too? Cheers, Leigh. [/i]

    Imperial radiators

Hi there, Is there any sort of compact radiator that is available in an imperial length other than the Myson HE? I am looking for a type 22 (Double Convector) with grilles to replace a 1750 x 450 mm radiator. 400 mm high would be fine too. It fits under a window, so can't go any taller...

    What goo?

Neat solution. Hadn't thought of that - cheers. Now where's me 8 mm dowel and drill? Leigh.

    What goo?

I've a door that's come off it's frame as the screws seem to be in to the plasster/brick behind the door frame rather than in to as block of wood that should have been mounted there for the purpose. The screw holes have become enlarged (door has been on the receiving end of the 4 yesr old's...

    kitchen extract

There was an error involving a child, the shower hose and the kitchen ceiling below the bathroom falling in. Well... it didn't all fall in, but I've now pulled the rest down. Victorian house, so bye bye lath and plaster, hello thermal wallboard. I got to thinking, right: install...

Your chance to laugh and point: Combi bashers unite!!

I'm the OP and stand behind his back - nope. I made the tea. Oh and turned the water on and off... I'm justa guy that researched what I wanted, asked for it in a quote and let the guys get on with it. I spoke to the boss when he came round to make good the old boiler flue and finish the...

Cheers. That wiring is currently isolated at the consumer unit with a big label on the MCB indicating there's a fault as it's the old immersion heater circuit and trips the breaker whenever it's on with a load attached (so much for the original idea of using it for the boiler feed!). I tucked...

Your chance to laugh and point: Combi bashers unite!!

Hi All, As promised here are the pics. It all works fine. Flow rate in the bath is greater than with my old gravity feed - only disadvantage is the 30 sec wait for hot at the kitchen tap and that the leccy shower is prone to scalding or freezing if anyone touches another tap/flushes. Will get...
