    I've not heard of Dulux stain block (what doeas that do?) and do you mean I should use Easyfill after painting the wall with it?

    Right. Thanks. That's very helpful. But I think its not distemper then - just some very old emulsion. But is it good to seal the wall with PVA first before Easyfill to give a good bond or will the Easfill not stick to PVA? And is it good for a whole wall or just used like polyfilla?

    OK thanks verymuch I will try to get it off by scraping unless theres a better way, but how will I know if its distemper? And someone else told me to PVA over everything first then easyfill. Is this good advice

    Alternative to skimming

    So is this Easyfill product really easy to use. I have taken paper off an old pretty messy wall - lots of holes and polyfilla/distemper lines. Was thinking of just sanding but dont think it will cover blemishes. Anyway. how easy is it to use?

    Green MDF: sealing/waterproofing

    I plan on using green T&G MDF as the panel on the bath. I was thinking of using Japlac clear to seal it properly. (I dont entirely trust the water resistancy of the green MDF!). Is Japlac the best way of waterproofing and do you have to use the primer first?
