Hi, I need some advice. I was burgled in April and the locksmiths came out to make good. They only offered like for like so I upgraded to a anti-snap euro at the time.
The insurance renewal has come today and says they need proof that my front door meets their requirements. For info, my front...
Hi, the floor in our new conservatory is now dry. We need to retain access to a sealed manhole and have chose to have carpet so it can be taken up easily if there are drainage problems and it will also be a bit warmer underfoot.
I've used Cloud9 foam underlay before and really like the stuff...
We've gone full circle now. I'll have to speak to the council and see what they say about this.
I can't see how using electric radiators is allowed when it is so costly. It makes sense to me to be able to use the heat generated from my boiler that's already going round my house. I agree a...
Gas4You, did you mean 30m3 i.e. Width x length x height or did you actually mean what you said....30m2 i.e. width x length of conservatory floor?
My conservatory will be w5 x L3 x H2.5ish
When you say isolating valves, do you mean ones like:

Also, can they be installed just before the Rad Valves or do they need to go "on the other side of the wall" inside the house.
Thanks
Hi everyone,
I've looked through all the posts and cannot find a definitive answer to my question.
My conservatory will require planning permission anyway as it is a short distance from the road. I phoned my conservatory company surveyor today and explained that long term we may want to...
Hi everyone, sourced a PCB and had a corgi fit it. The boiler came back to life immediately.
He serviced it too and said it was the cleanest boiler he's seen in a long time!!
The PCB was not supplying power to the APS as we all suspected.
Thanks for all your help.
hi baxpoti, is this a typical symptom of PCB failure? What makes you think it is not the APS?
From research, I've read that I need PCB: 5112380. Is this correct?
It has three, Black at the front, blue and brown underneath.
When the boiler is idle, there is no power at all registering in the APS. Only when the boiler starts up i.e. tap on, there is a flash of voltage.
Ok,
The fan cycles on, the APS diapragm then activates but the fault then appears. I have put a multimeter against the APS. When the water comes on the water microswitch activates the boiler. A voltage can be read initially on the APS but then goes to 0 after a couple of seconds. This might...
