Ahh, will be a combination of the cold, then, along with mainly short journeys before I stopped using it for about 2 weeks in the worst of the snow. Thanks for that - will bear it in mind in future!

I think I'll bring it in to be on the safe side - pretty sure I remember it not being to hard to get the battery out. And will check carefully! Don't know if my radio does have a code, but I've never put one in, so I'll just hope for the best. Thanks so much to both of you :)
