no ball valve not going all the time, crazy flat roof means I could not easy check it, so i replaced it. This eliminated the ball valve leaking. I suspect the blockage theory.

Thanks Chrishutt, last night it leaked without the heating on, seems to be temperature relatated If boiler stat is up at 60 and no water drawn off it leaks. I guess the water is being forced up the vent pipe because it is the line of least resistance ie avoiding the blockage

Water keeps flowing out of my header tank overflow. It only happens when the heating is on, even if the room stat is set to low (off). The water is coming up the vent pipe, filling up the tank and making it overflow. Have changed the boiler stat, and tank stat (just in case). When set on...
