Thanks. No idea about timber joists, but possibly.. Might drop the builder a note to see if he can pop around at some point. I'm guessing if that is the case then there's not a lot they can do about it now!

We had our loft converted a year ago and in the last couple of months we noticed a slight ridge under the carpet, where one of the steel joists is situated. It's not very noticable to the eye but when you run your hand over the area you can feel a slight ridge. Is this something to worry about...
