I agree to a certain point, the old isar was a combi built to a budget to satisfy the Warmfront scheme, however the new Logic combi is excellent and takes many features from Vaillant etc. Hopefully this might save Ideal's reputation, I've fitted a few of the new Logics and they are top notch...

I work for Warmsure as an Inspector and I can tell you they are NOT a part of the Ideal boiler group anymore, they have now been taken over by the Eaga group and are now the main service breakdown company for Eaga who in turn deal with all new Warmfront installations around the country. Nice...

No there is a set recommended max distance in the regs. I got shot the question in a job interview believe it or not and its really got me going to find the distance - it's defo in mm and its something like 50mm - 100mm etc.

Can anyone tell me what the correct distance is for the open vent termination to the water level in the F&E tank ???? Thanks :(
