Thanks Tony. Can I assume the threads of the nut on compact radiators will be the same as the thread on the valves fixed to my pipe that used to mate to the roll top?
If I buy a 1200mm compact to replace a 1200mm roll top will the pipes be in the correct place...i.e are they the same...
Hi,
I need to replace a radiator, I have a combi boiler, and I beleive it's what's called a 'pressurised' system?
The rad I am replacing is what I call a standard rad, I think it's referred to as a 'roll top' convector - the size is 1200 x 620.
My local B&Q only sells compact radiators...
Because unfortunately, Top Pave show it in their catalogue but it's not available...the picture is showing the kerbstone range. Go figure!
I will keep searching, but the easiest option to me at the moment seems to be to introduce a stone circle into my pattern and complete the edges with the...
I'm in the process of extending my garden patio and have just found out that a block I have used is no longer in production.
The block size is 50mm x 50mm x 60mm deep (used as a filler in a pattern with regular 200mm x 100mm blocks), is charcoal on colour and was manufactured by Marley and...
Just thought of a way of expressing my confusion a bit simpler!
What I'm trying to say is if the radiator is already removed, what is the difference between fitting ti back on and closing both valves and not using it (as you previously suggested), and draining the system, closing off the 2...
Thanks Pete.
I have already taken the rad off the wall, I just closed down the thermostat valve one end, closed the other valve (under the plastic cap) by hand, then undone the nuts, drained, and lifted off.
Was that not the right thing to do....I'm a bit confused now reading what you...
I was thinking of replacing it with a single one (half the price), but Im no plumber and it would mean moving the pipes because they currently come out from the floor too far away from thw wall just to replace it with a single.
I can drill the bleed screw out, but no way could I replace it...
Hope someone can help me here?
My room has 2 double radiators, one of the rads has a bleed nipple that has rounded off, and try as I might it will not come out (I've tried drilling it out but it's on the verge of damaging the thread now). The nipple is directly in the radiator, not as I've...
