I'm really struggling to get that green hand nut/washer shifted. Pliers won't grip it. I've tried a spanner but to no avail. There is very little room between the washer and the back of the toilet cistern. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated as this is the obstacle holding up...

Could you suggest any way to shift that green washer. It's very stiff and it's proximity to the back of cistern is very narrow making it very difficult to turn by hand. Thanks. I really appreciate your help

I'm not sure. If the valve is what is in the toilet 2 picture, when I turn it with screw driver, it just keeps turning. The water that fills the cistern is very slow but thetwo other toilets in the house work fine.
