Moving A Plug Sockets Beneath The Kitchen Worktop.

Thanks all for you replies and help. I'll leave it as it is for now and get an electrician in in a few weeks time. Thanks.

Thanks John. Well, barring any more replies coming in it does look like my cunning plan wasn't so cunning afterall. :(

Moving A Plug Sockets Beneath The Kitchen Worktop.

We need a socket at both positions as one is used for the kettle and one is used for the microwave.

Moving A Plug Sockets Beneath The Kitchen Worktop.

Our house was built on the 70s I believe and has one of the older fuse boxes with 4 fuses. A 5A, 30A, 30A and another 30A. One of the sockets is fused by 30A fuse number 2 and the other by 30A fuse number 3.

Moving A Plug Sockets Beneath The Kitchen Worktop.

Hi, In 2 corners of our kitchen there is a twin electrical socket. The washing machine is plugged into one of them and dishwasher plugged into the other one. Both washers sit beneath the worktop with the flex and plug coming through a slot in the wall to get to the socket. I was...

    Garden Drain

Blimey, this has got complicated. It's not looking good for my plans though.

    Garden Drain

Richard, what I meant when I said the soil is clay after the first foot, is simply that. It is solid clay and at about 5 feet down turns into a blueish cloloured clay that is as hard as stone, so all you get is a waterproof hole. What's the positive system?

    Garden Drain

A soakaway isn't an option unfortunately as the sioil is clay after the first foot and so water doesn't soak away. It just sits there. Do you know why you are not allowed to drain rainwater into a drain like that?

    Garden Drain

I need to install a drain in the back garden to drain water from the patios and the greenhouse roof. There aren't any pre exisyting drains at the rear of the house to connect it to, but at the side of the house, there is a drain for the toilets, bath and sinks. Am I allowed to connect a rain...

    HEP 2 over copper

Just to confuse matters, our house has alot of Hep2o in it and some has been there for about 12 years. I think it's great and we have had no problems with it. I personally like the fact that it is virtually indestructable, will take a nail, is semi insulted and is freeze proof.

    What Size Rads?

Thats great mate, thanks. Does it make any difference that the floor is concrete and not floor boards? P.S. The windows are double glazed. Cheers, Martin.

    What Size Rads?

Oops, forgot to say, 3 outside walls and cavity wall insulation, but I don't think it was done very well.

    What Size Rads?

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum, so please be gentle with me. I want to replace the 2 radiators in my living room with new, and hopefully, more efficient ones. The room has never been very warm, which I assume is because the radiators are very old. I've been onto several sites on...
