Using Easi-Fill and getting air bubbles

Hi, I have just boarded up an old built in wardrobe to give us more space in the bathroom when I knock through into it. I taped the board edges using joint filler and pva'd about 12 inches down each side where the original board was painted and also the new board I put in. The problem I am...

Can I build up to my boundary line?

Thanks for the replys so far. Yep the fence is mine, the front wall of the worshop will be right by the rain water down pipe, and regarding the party wall act doesn't the property next door have to be a certain distance to our boundary to apply? as we have there garden next to us and not there...

Can I build up to my boundary line?

Hi, I am just drawing up some rough plans of a 8M X 2.2M brick work shop to show the local authority that I want to build onto the side of our house and out to the boundary. The fence on that side is ours and I plan to remove the fence and build the workshop with a parapet style roof with no...

What is a good make of  facia/soffit?

Thanks for all the views, ended up buying the materials from Eurocell. All I will say is get a couple of quotes from two branches, one Eurocell branch was £500 more than the other for exactly the same order  , there loss for being too greedy.

What is a good make of  facia/soffit?

If your timber is 100% sound would you cap over your fascia??. I have the budget to do total replacement and thats what I was going to do but as our houses were built with 25mm treated timber fascia's they haven't rotted at all. A few fascias suppliers have said save the money and cap over.

What is a good make of  facia/soffit?

Hi, just wondered if anyone could recomend a good make of facia/soffits and I need rosewood colour. I do have a local supplier that does Flowplast but as I am a plumber I don't rate much of there waste ranges. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Finnishing Oak veneer doors.

One of the doors has to be cut down for our cupboard under the stairs so I may have a go with different products on the off cut. As far as I know Magnet also have there doors and at first they priced matched with Wicks but before I collected I noticed Wicks had 25% off oak veneer doors until...

    Finnishing Oak veneer doors.

I have just spoken to XL joinery as they make the doors for Wicks/ Travis etc and they recomended staying with the water based products. I guess your sanding sealer will seal the door before you wax it though.

    Finnishing Oak veneer doors.

Hi, I have just bought some oak veneer doors from Wicks and the finnishing info that comes with them says you should use a water based varnish or wood stain. As they don't mention the use of any oils, waxes or solvent based varnish do you think these could effect the veneer in any way?. Any...

BUILDING A WORK SHOP ON THE SIDE OF OUR HOUSE?

Thanks for the reply, the boundary would be the fence between me and my neighbour, he has a shed up to the fence on his side to access from his side would be dificult anyway. I was thinking of building about a foot away from the fence so any small amount of roof overhang or guttering would still...

BUILDING A WORK SHOP ON THE SIDE OF OUR HOUSE?

Hi, we are buying another house and at present they have converted the whole garage into a utility and playroom. For storage they have put a shed down the left hand side of the property, there is still access down the right hand side to the garden. What I am thinking is remove the shed, put...
