The boiler was serviced about a year ago and it was opened up. The ignitor unit was fitted by Baxi Heat team as I was on a repair plan at the time. The symptoms were the same as now but needed to be reset every morning . They fitted a new PCB first and the problem...
I have a Baxi Solo heat only boiler sited in the loft. Been working fine for about a year but has just started having difficulty starting first thing in the morning. I can hear that it takes 3-4 attempts to ignite when starting for the first time in the morning but does normally get going. After...
Thinking of putting marble floor tiles on a timber first floor. Should I be concerned about the extra weight . Floor joist are 2" x 8" @ 400 c/c , span 3.70m- 19 mm t & g floor boards ?
Also was going to use Ditra matting underneath as I have used before with good results but not on a first...
Baxi heat team installed the overrun timer .Don't think it's wired back into Pcb but linked into power supply to pump, controlled by stat. No overpumping or problems with air in system and I don't think it's a sludge. Boilers in loft so guy said residual heat was the cause cos nowhere to go...
Thanks Dave
Yes it is a Baxi Solo 24 HE but doesn't appear to be any sign of leak just starting to make a howling noise after been running for a while ( 20 min) , usually just before switching off. Noise is the same as before and can be almost eliminated by turning the water temperature down...
Thanks Rojoca but i don't think that is the problem here. Had power flush when boiler fitted +last time, the engineer said it was heat buckled the exchanger and fitted a pump overrun timer to help disperse heat. Been alright since until couple of weeks ago, which is why I wondered if this...
Have got a Baxi Solo heat only boiler installed approx 2.5 years ago. Had to have a new heat exchanger after a few months and a new Pcb just before end of second year. I am hearing a strange noise in the last couple of weeks which sounds very similar to first problem with heat exchanger so very...
Thanks D hallisham. Is this connected with the Proportional Band Width ? I read this as somehowa latering the sensitivity of the unit but I'm not sure. If I wanted the boiler to come on less but cycle for longerwhen it does come on do I increase the band width or decrease ? same with the...
Thanks Mikely, have read the thread and sounds reassuring. I was concerned that it could be damaging the bolier and/or using gas unnecessarily, but if it's doing what it should be then hopefully not the case.
Interestingly my pump runs for longer than the boiler as the thread you referred me...
Have had the wireless Honeywell CM 927 for nearly a couple of years now. Works well and generally pleased with it but there is one thing that puzzles me and I'm not sure it's working correctly. Whenever the tempaerature is hovering around the programmed temperatures or set points I have noticed...
