Strip back to brickwork or skim?

Thanks, do you think insulated plasterboard should be used then?

Strip back to brickwork or skim?

In the process of transforming a small area into a bathroom. An external doorway has recently been blocked up and the roof has been replaced, it was leaking which has caused damage to existing plaster. I’m not sure how to approach making good, the options I’m thinking of: - Remove all...

    Flashing against a pebbledashed wall

Sorry to revive an old thread but should this be stepped flashing? I often see similar houses in the area with pebbledashed walls and a pitched roof with an apron running down the side. Just started work on this, the timbers were in such a bad way - glad it’s done just need to do the...

    Flashing against a pebbledashed wall

For a pitched roof that butts up against a pebbledashed wall, what’s the right approach to preventing leaks where the roof meets the wall? Should the pebbledash be cut back and flashing applied. Our roof appears to be leaking in this area, there is no existing means to prevent water ingress in...

    Water running down fascia

That wrapping I understand to be protection from an old boiler that was in the bathroom (since patched up where the pebbledash is missing). So it sounds like not just a case of putting some eaves trays in so rain water is diverted into the gutter and calling it a day?

    Water running down fascia

Just moved in, can see water running down behind the gutter onto the fascia on one side of the house. It looks like the plastic fascia cover installed has pushed the guttering out too far from the tiles. What’s the right approach for this, sort out the fascia or install some eaves...

    Pebbledash repair mix

For a 1930s property, if you were to repair pebbledash what mix would you use for both scratch coat and finishing? Presumably it should be a lime, sand and cement mix? In what ratio Going to be painted eventually so not fussed about trying to get it matched to the existing dashing.
