The red heater light stays lit throughout the wash cycle even though there is plenty of hot water. It did not used to do this. It comes on during a wash programme whether it is 40 deg or 60 deg wash. So it seems that the hot water is not getting through for some reason and the heater kicks in.

I have a hotpoint WM 52 and just lately Ive noticed that even when there is plenty of hot water the heater comes on and stays on. Ive checked that the hot water inflow isnt blocked, so I know suspect an electrical problem. There are no wires hanging off on the inside but Im not sure what else...
