    We’ve recently had our walls skimmed and are now ready to paint. Is the best course of action to do the mist coat with some watered down emulsion, let that soak in and then paint with our colour?

    Just your standard laminate upstands - ive been told to use something called Pinkgrip as well - is that an adhesive you would suggest?

    Thanks trowelmonkey1 - much appreciated! Sorry for asking another daft question- but when you say the very corners, does that mean the corners of the bead i.e. the metal and not the mesh and I can paint over it?
