    Boiler recommendation

Yes I've also found a lack of Intergas installers in my area. The 111-W only requires 1 channel, so the Drayton Wiser 1 channel option is the one you'd need. The heating of the internal storage cylinder is handled by the boiler without any external timers.

    Boiler recommendation

@djooms it is always nice to have lots of hot water, especially with two bathrooms. I am a bit biased as I did my research mostly around Viessmann. Just FYI, the Viessmann 200 series do not support OpenTherm, they rely solely on weather compensation. The 200 series is very expensive too. If...

    Boiler recommendation

Why would that put you off? Surely it's a good thing. I suppose it makes the boiler more mechanically complex and with modulation like that one is quickly approaching the point of diminishing returns. The cost, obviously, I agree with.

    Window and door energy certificate

Hello, I had a few new windows and a front door installed recently, I have received the Fensa certificate. Should I also expect to receive an energy certificate for each window and door? Is this even a thing with new windows and doors or not really? I'm thinking the likes of an energy label...

Bi-Fold Doors that are now catching on the top runner, whilst glazing is being installed.... aaarrrggghhhh!

Hey, have you watched the Skill Builder video on installing a bifold door? They have a good explanation about how to toe and heel properly

    11 radiator to a 22?

Are you able to do a straight swap? I suppose you have measured the old 11 radiators and there's type 22 radiators available that are the same width. If the pipes are 10mm then they will have a little bit of flexibility and might fit a 21, but if they are coming out straight out of the wall and...

    Triple glazing or double glazing

In my case, for a kitchen window the cost for double and triple glazing was roughly £400 vs £500, so more like a 25% increase. But I do agree with everything else.

    Triple glazing or double glazing

Also, for a tenner you can get yourself a glass thickness measuring gauge. After you receive an itemised invoice, you can check that it is 6mm as they are saying and not the usual 4mm.

    Triple glazing or double glazing

How big are the panels? If they are saying that double glazing with 6mm is more efficient thermally and acoustically, ask for the figures for both double and triple glazing. The windows will have a U value and an overall energy index, as well as the sound reduction value.

    Triple glazing or double glazing

I agree with previous posters, that does look like double glazing rather than triple. Shine a phone torch onto it, if you see 4 reflections then it's double glazing, if you see 6 reflections then it's triple glazing

    UPVC window supplier recommendations

Apologies if this is against the rules. Could anyone recommend online suppliers for PVC windows please? Supply only, installation not required.

    Ultrotherm

From what I can see, it is essentially PUR foam that is prepared for skimming, so at 12mm it makes sense for cases where minimal wall build up is required. In any other cases, I'd probably go for insulated plasterboards

    Knauf loft roll insulation products

I think these are practically the same products in different packaging.

Problem with 1 radiator not heating

The TRV might be stuck. Could be worthwhile taking off the TRV head and tap the metal valve. If this radiator has been working previously, then you should not need to adjust the lockshield valve
