The handle on our Samsung Fridge Freezer is coming loose. There's a hole underneath (please see attached photos). I have tried various screwdrivers and allen keys but nothing seems to catch and tighten the screw. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Took washer off, gave it a scrub under the tap. Inevitably forgot which way round it was originally, refitted it and hey presto, no leak! Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. I took your suggestion Madrab (before reading all the other replies) and snapped the plastic ring back on. The rubber seal needed to be pushed into the soil pipe first and that was tricky as it was quite a cramped space to work with my sausage fingers...

I tried wetting the ceiling to see if its old wallpaper paste. There is some paste left over but it is on top of the white and yellow layers. Those layers are unaffected by the water. I'm wondering whether the easiest solution would be to put lining paper up?
