What a gigantic ball-ache
I sanded the waste and trap for about 90 mins and it fits now. FYI it's a Wirquin Quick Clac Pop up Bath Waste and i used a regular P trap, a Wirquin bath trap wouldn't have fit with the access available. Wouldn't recommend this POS. Waste of time.
Waste on the left 40 internal, trap on the right 41mm external.
Trap doesn't fit inside waste by 1mm. Assumed it was a imperial-metric problem so I bought a new one. Same problem.
Is this a faulty waste or do i need some kind of coupler?
I've just installed all the pipe work fresh. Is there a easy way to check if a shower pump is working our not before I continue?
I flushed the hot/cold sides of the system for 5 minutes before turning it on and you can hear each side of the pump click on when the outlet valves are opened...
No allen key, just the slot. I have a new one, slot is just as massive. It's very difficult to turn, even with my biggest screwdriver. I may need to get a chiseldriver or something. Already slighty shagged the new slot.
Full-bore Isolation valve
I need to turn off an isolation valve. By the looks of it's a full bore and it's very difficult to turn. I've already partially mashed up the slot that you turn with the biggest screwdriver I have. Could anyone give any hints as to what gauge screwdriver to get for these giants slots or what...
I'm just about to fit this flange.
What techniques are there for changing which direction the outlet to the pump is going to face when I have it satisfactorily tight?
