Thanks. The thing above the block valve looks like a bleed valve, is that to bleed air out of the boiler circuit? I guess the block valve was there in case the bleed valve started leaking :)
My CH and hot water are out of action because of a leak from the block valve next to the tundish in the picture - pressure on the gauge on the boiler had dropped to zero and when I tried to refill it it just sprays out from the stem of this valve. You can see rust marks suggesting to me that the...
Thanks for the replies so far, I had looked at Franke and they don't do anything suitable. Surely I can't be the only person who wants one like this?
Scuse the pun. I'm looking for a stainless steel kitchen sink and can't find anything suitable from the usual suppliers or on the web. I want it to have:
1 3/4 bowl (i.e. a main bowl and a smaller but not tiny one)
Suitable for installing with the smaller bowl on the right
Ridged drainer...
Thanks for the advice. I checked the voltages going to the valve and when HW only is selected there is about 180 V ac on grey, nothing on white and 240 V on orange which is supposed to be an output from the valve! So I'm now thinking that the fault might be in the cylinder thermostat. It's a...
I've got a fully pumped system with a conventional (non-combi, non-condensing) boiler and indirect hot water cylinder with cylinder thermostat. For some time now the radiators have been heating up when only HW is selected on the programmer; also, I've noticed that the boiler tends to cycle on...
I'm seeing a similar problem with an Apollo Fanfare sometimes cycling on and off at about 30 sec intervals.
We already suspected the 3-way valve was dodgy because sometimes the rads heat up even if only hot water is selected on the programmer.
Is the 3-way valve definitely the most likely...
