Sparky forgot the wiring for the cooker hood. Alternative methods?

we agreed on the price of the work that needed doing, which obviously included the much needed wiring for the extractor fan. he said it was an oversight on his end. ok cool, i asked to ensure that it is done and even though it would take longer now for that part of the kitchen its all good, all...

Sparky forgot the wiring for the cooker hood. Alternative methods?

Not me lol will either be the sparky that i find or will just post up the job locally on trade/fb website. I have an sds which will be able to do the job but just dont have the core drilling bit, but even if i did i dont think i'd attempt it anyways as it seems very laborous to get through at...

Sparky forgot the wiring for the cooker hood. Alternative methods?

ahhhhhhhh ok gotcha, i did think that the top route might have been the easiest but once it reaches past the cupboards there is going to be quite a distance till it reaches the hood which i think might be around 20cm as the hood itself is 90cm but the vent part is obviously alot slimmer than the...

Sparky forgot the wiring for the cooker hood. Alternative methods?

ahh good point, i guess i can try find the route easier if i tap the plasterboard and should be able to tell where the hollow spots are and do as suggested. and no doesnt matter if the PB has holes in it as it will be tiled over. seems to also be mixed feedback regarding the issue of tiling...

Sparky forgot the wiring for the cooker hood. Alternative methods?

right i think i get you now, so basically take top cupboards off. take faceplate off the socket on the wall, and then go up from the inside of there upwards because obviously it must have a clear section where that cables coming from, fish the cable from wherever we decide to pop out above the...

Sparky forgot the wiring for the cooker hood. Alternative methods?

ah ok i didnt think about this way, the only problem is that directly above is the bathroom which is already fully tiled so wouldnt be able to get underneath the bathroom. Unless im guessing if you mean to go via the route of the spotlights. and sorry if i sound stupid but would it not then go...

Sparky forgot the wiring for the cooker hood. Alternative methods?

Long story short, sparky 'forgot' to put in the wiring for the extractor hood/fan which sits above the hob and will be next to the cupboard shown, the walls already been boarded and plastered now aswell (happened to be away during this time otherwise i'd have noticed it straight away)...

Worktop thickness required for induction hob?

My main pan-draw has 2 slide-out draws at the top, I am looking to get this Samsung induction hob - NZ84C6058FK Link to the hob It is a slim fit induction hob which i assume will then allow me to keep my 2 draws at the top because I believe in some normal worktop (mainly gas) hobs the top draw...

Avg cost to lay Porcelain outdoor Paving - Manchester

We are thinking about having around 55m2 of porcelain paving laid outside. the area that it will be laid upon is around 50% flagged and 50% turfed currently. I have managed to source the porcelain tiles myself for around £1,750 to cover 60m2 (just incase of any breakages). I just wanted to...

Taking 9cm off an oak veneer door?

I think that in theory this would cost at least 3x as much because the difference in price between the door sizes is only £5-10 here n there. I would still have to get door trimmed regardless because the sizes they have wouldn't be the same size as the frame, maybe widthwise but not heightwise...

Taking 9cm off an oak veneer door?

Ahhhhh so it is possible. Thank you very much for descriptive advice. I already have a big tub of Danish oil, do you think a couple layers of that would be good? So if I'll be chopping past the lipping anyways. Shall I just take 90mm off either the top or bottom (if so which side is best to...
