I understand and know how to test a simple switch mate but in the MF instructions it says to test the aps for short circuit,was just wondering what it meant or if anyone new?
Hi I need help on electrical testing boiler parts and was wondering if anyone would tell me how to test for a ' short circuit on an APS' using a multimeter??? And what readings to look for, this is the only test that I struggle with?

Sorry yes restrictor is in place, customer called to have fire serviced previous gas fitter had fitted restrictor due to excessive flue pull but spillage test was perfect.
Was just curious because because never seen one fitted to a PCF before.

Flue height is fine. Manufacturers instructions state ' fit the flue restrictor into a class 1 chimney or 'good' class 2 chimney if spillage is detected then remove restrictor, no spillage was detected but excessive flue pull was which was causing flame lift which is why restrictor must have...
Possible pcb fault what you can hear is the relay clicking which is linked to pressure switch.
I had same problem on 24i rsf 3 weeks ago.
There was all carbon/arching marks on relay,changed pcb worked a treat
