My 2005 TDCI Mondeo has developed a rough gearchange between 2nd and 3rd, it seems to jump into 3rd and even drops back to 2nd and then back upto 3rd when accelerating at normal speeds. It is intermittant but never a problem between 1st and 2nd or 4th and 5th. Any thoughts?

I have a 2005 2.0 TDCi Auto Mondeo, with 60K on the clock. Recently when heavily accelerating there is a high pitch squeaking noise coming from the engine bay, it sounds like when your ears pop when flying so i wonder if it a gas leak or similar, any suggestions? Thanks

It has now been in for a 4wheelalignment.co.uk check, who seemed very competent, readouts suggest toe out but normal camber. Thus it has been corrected. And after ATS said normal on 2 occasions!

My wife has an Audi TT 52 plate. Recently on a number of occasions when she selects a gear after starting the car the clutch pedal stays down after the foot is removed. We are able to physically pull the pedal up and then it works normally although a little sluggish for first few gear changes...

Thanks, Had tracking checked twice at 2 different ATS centres. Toe in/out was correct.

I have an 2 yr old mondeo suffering from abnormal tyre wear. The front wear rapidly on the inner 1/4. I have had the tracking checked twice, which is normal. It does 15K then the tyres are threadbare. Pressure are ok. Any thoughts?
