Thanks, i'll give that a go. Yeah, all lights are on the same fuse.

We have a hall light and landing light controlled from a 2gang switch downstairs and the landing light controlled from upstairs. A decorator has re-wired the switches wrong and now we cant turn upstairs on from downstairs.i have enclosed a basic diagram of the switches and all wiring available...
