    If it wasn't in the wood - why would it pop out? I would have thought that it would just move with the plaster board.... I thought it was the board moving against the screw that made the plaster pop off...

    It was not wet when built. There was a scaffolding roof over also. Is there any particular filler anyone recommends - that might accommodate a little seasonal movement?
