    Paste Stains on Wallpaper

I think it is a vinyl Bosswhite. It's a shame there isn't a way. I have sponged it with hot water to no avail. I just thought there might be a product that would lift the stains. Thanks for your reply.

    Paste Stains on Wallpaper

Hi, I recently had my hall papered and at first glance all looked good. However when you look in detail there are lots of paste stains in various places. Would anybody know of a good way of getting these off. I tried rubbing with warm water with a little washing up liquid but that doesn't work...

    Concrete Patio Crack

The cracks originated from a bodged attempt in installing a rotating clothes line within the patio by the previous owners of the house. They have slowly got worst over 10 years. Because I live in a terraced edwardian house to start again would mean breaking up the original concrete and taking...

    Concrete Patio Crack

Hello everyone, My old concrete patio has some cracks that previously were purely cosmetic. They have now developed into 1cm wide gaps with one area that has risen above the level of the concrete. Could somebody tell me whether this could be repaired easily. I am especially worried about...

    Overflow Pipe dripping outside

How do you know that if your not there? The neighbours informed me Nitro. Would you advise turning the stopcock off at the point in the kitchen or on the coldwater storage when I next go on holiday? I also have a small megaflo in the loft which I leave on all the time (it only serves the loft...

    Power Steering

Appologies for the vagueness of this question but I would be grateful if someone could settle an arguement relating to using full lock on a car with powersteering. Could anybody let me know whether using full steering lock on a car with power steering has any detrimental effect on your...

    Overflow Pipe dripping outside

Thank you Oilecky and Rigidraider for your accurate replies. I now have another minor problem. The ballcock was replaced by a Homeserve engineer last week. Since his departure it appears that the cold water storage tank is taking ages to re-fill. For instance last night I flushed the toilet and...

    Overflow Pipe dripping outside

Hi AlanE Would they not fix the problem? It is not a constant drip. Only when the water has not been used for a time. For example all of yesterday it was ok. When I woke up this morning there was a puddle outside where it had been dripping overnight.

    Overflow Pipe dripping outside

Thanks for the advice RigidRaider. I have a Homeserve insurance contract for internal plumbing and pipes. Hopefully they will take a little less time than me attempting it.

    Overflow Pipe dripping outside

Dear all, Whenever I leave my house vacant for a period of time my overflow from my cold water storage in the loft starts dripping and will keep dripping until I get home and do something like flush the toilet. I recently went on holiday for a week and switched off my heating/hot water before...

    Megaflo question

I'm not sure whether it has a programmer. Do they all come with programmers? Sorry if this sounds a bit vague. It is independent to my gas central heating system and was installed prior to moving into the house.

    Megaflo question

Hello I have a 70 litre Megaflo in my ensuite loft conversion. The megaflo is on all the time and is used for roughly 2 showers a day. should I put it on a timer to come on say once a day for an hour or is it it more economical just to leave it on all the time. Thanks Patrick
