Bill began his experience in the construction at his father’s side, starting at age 12, his father was doing structural concrete ie: foundations and flat work .... After graduating from high school he went to work for Western Power & Equipment a Case equipment dealer in Portland, OR. As a yard foreman he became familiar with a large range of construction equipment. He purchased a skid steer and some attachments and started his first company.

1996 - hired on full time with Thompson bros. an excavation company worked there for about a year cutting his teeth as a professional equip operator.

1997 – summer - went to work for Operating Engineers local 3 as a journeyman operator out of Northern California.

1998 – left the union moved back to WA hired on back filling septic tanks and all aspects of excavation.... worked for a few years for several companies then moved back to California and hired on as a mainline operator on several projects even a 9 million dollar geyser recharge project in Santa Rosa, CA.

After several years of varied construction experience Bill joined a joint venture with his father’s company and did all the excavation and retaining walls as company manager and purchased several trucks trailers and equipment as needed to complete assorted projects and widen the range of projects they could do ....

In 2009 Bill was ready to go out on his own again and started his own company in Northern California called Paradigm Concrete Artisans.

In January 2008 he met the CEO of StoneMakers in Orlando FL and that summer began studying artistic concrete. It also afforded him the opportunity to teach seminars with Stonemakers .

Bill and his company donated a $20,000 wine cave/water feature to the Lake County Chamber of Commerce which was displayed in the California state fair in 2009.

In the fall of 2010 Bill moved to TN and began working freelance as a artistic concrete executive trainer. He has traveled to almost every state in the US, including Alaska doing projects.... He now looks to take artistic concrete to the next level and with a group of skilled artisans develop an artistic concrete company that rivals all....
