    Thanks for that, it always makes me wonder what are the conditions that make these boards expand i.e heat, moisture or what and if I fit a floor when the boards are fully expanded and leave a 10mm expansion gap then when they contract am I going to be left with a gap showing?     If they were all to be done at one time it might be worth it but these properties are spread out all over Sheffield and could be up to 20 miles apart. Also they could be one job a day, imagine travelling 20 miles to fit a blind for a tenner. :roll:

    With the deeds to the property there should be a plan and on the plan the fences that you are responsible for will be marked with a T on your side. Hope this helps Paul
