I take it you mean connected to the earth , no i haven't , its all turned off now i'm not living at the house yet , so where does the lose neutral go to then ???

No Lucky im out of it now , no reading on the nuetral , when i put the nuetral to earth the light works as it should , when i was in the loft traceing the wires the nuetral wire goes down into a stud wall, but low and behold its not even conected to anything !!

yeah i checked it between Live / Earth , so in to the loft i go .

Recently bought a house and the landing light wont work , Ive changed the bulb and the light fitting , both upstairs and down stairs switches seem to be wired up correctly , when i put the multimeter on the celling rose i get 240v when i turn the switch on , cant work it out , help please !!! .

ok, ive had a couple of guys round to quote me on this floor and damp job and have never got back to me :x , so it looks like im diy , one of the jobs that needs doing is to raise the air bricks with a periscope , easy to fit ? how many bricks need to come out to allow me to get the periscope...

Right , i did build a deck few years ago , i think this will the 1st ( well 3rd ) of many posts if i buy this house, it needs a lot of TLC :wink:

I do have a bit of experience , done loads of stuff on previous houses , i just wasn't sure quite what to expect once id got the boards up , think ill give it a bash , IF the purchase goes through . :?
