I have a chrome tap in my bathroom that has developed a large brown streak. Its the colour of rust but it isn't rust as it wont clean off with soap and water.
Can anyone advise me what it is and how it has been caused. An more importantly how I can get the finish of my tap back to the chrome...
We have an oak worktop which had a large scratch it.
I sanded out the scratch and reapplied Danish Oil in several layers over the area, but where I sanded is still lighter than the surrounding worktop, no matter how many layers of oil I put on it.
Is this normal and is there any way I can get...
Hi
Sorry - its just it says 'fully dimmable' on the box the lamp came in. They are standard filament lamps with a 60w rating (supplied by the electrical shop where I bought the lights).
Apologies for the confusion.
I believe 60w.
The dimmer modules came with the switches (Focus Prism) but if remember rightly they are Aurora.
We have the same switches in the rest of the house which dim multiple GU10 bulbs with no problem.
Thanks for your help.
Can anyone help with this (I am not an electrician so please be gentle......)
I have two 5a sockets in a room switched from a single dimmer switch and have two table lamps plugged into them
When both are on all is fine - dimming and fully lit.
However if I only have one on, when it is fully...
I have a 3 year old Siemans dishwasher which stops just before the end of the cycle.
The pump/filters are clear and so is the drain hose.
An engineer tells me it is because of this (the orangey bit)
which he tells me is blocked and needs replacing (which isnt cheap!).
So my...
Can anyone help with this?
I have an oak kitchen work top which I recently retreated with several coats of Danish oil - the work top looks great.
However like an idiot I didn't put masking tape around the work top where the cupboards meet it and now I have some brush marks of Danish oil...
Thanks but the vast majority of those are designed to go above the mirror.
If you rotated them through 90 degrees it would mean the pull switch wouldn't work (or you'd have to pull it sideways....)
Or am I missing something?
Surface mounted is fine.
It needs to go on the wall to the side of the mirror but I only have 150mm between the edge of the mirror and a door architrave so cant be any wider than that.
Height isnt an issue.
If youve got any links theyd be much appreciated - the only one I found is this...
Thanks everyone for all your help.
My issue is Im trying to find a light to go at the side of a mirror in a bathroom. Space is tight and theres no room above the mirror.
Ideally its a light with a built in shaver socket and pull switch. However I cannot find one that either isnt much too...
So - and please forgive my ignorance - with the transformer what socket would we end up with?
ie if normal dual sockets are 115v and 230v what would this socket be?
