    Hi All I have a floor lamp that uses 12v g4 bulbs and is controlled by a dimmer/transformer switch. This switch has broken down and I am wondering if I can by pass this and convert the bulbs to 240v g4 types. Any help gratefully received. Thanks John g :shock:

    I recently decided to fit a new plug socket to an existing outlet.I switched of the sockets switch on the main board leaving the lights still on. I disconnected the old socket, which had 4 wires each of red, black and earth connected to it and proceeded to straighten them a little on doing this...
