the diagnostics still give the 6 beeps message. water level looks ok, 10 mins into a cycle - both arms are definitely moving.

on a normal cycle, stopped after 30 mins again, still the 6 beeps repeatedly, inside and u-bend were hot.

just started a wash prog. the way to clear the eprom (i hope), was just slightly different. I tried it as you said but got the usual 6 bleeps, then i tied it but after the S1 and S3 together did the S2. all the lights on the display went on/off with accompanying beep for 30 secs then it...

thanks zipper, will try that in a few mins - its making hot water though - plenty 'o steam when i open it up and u-bend is warm on the drainage side.

the on/off is on the right but the buttons were still left to right as you explained. i get 6 flashes on the end of programme light, this repeats itself many times.

AEG favorit 40010 inbuilt dishwasher. it stops mid cycle with the light that points to the floor flashing 6 times in a row and repeating, there are also beeps that correspond at 6 in a row. there are 3 LEDs on the door and the one that has a horizontal arrow pointing to a vertical line...
