    You could try using a stabalising primer though I think this would have to be sprayed as brushing will knock off chips. Why not try in a small area.

    Once treated use Dulux Trade Mouldshield, ( eggshell) it really does what it says on the tin, I have used it a few times on this sort of problem and it really does work.

    Only guessing but it could be paste, did you make sure you wiped paper joins thoroughly after applying?

    Sorry Jim I have never used No2. I'm thinking No 2 is for soft woods and is semi transparent, not 100% though.

    Thats correct, only problem is Butinox 3 has very ltd colours. Jotun also make Demidekk Optimal, this has an even better life expectancy than Butinox, is slightly more expensive, about £60 for 3ltrs, but is avaliable in a much wider range of colours. Requires priming with 'Visor', both...

    Which is the proffessional way of cutting in? Do I paint all skirtings first then cut in with emulsion or vice versa. Cracking site by the way.
