    Replacement time clock help required.

if i have a mid position valve surely i should be able to call for CH only HW only or both together. if this is the case then why do the controls on the boiler show HW only or HW and CH??

what i have is a timer to bring on the HW and a switch which when closed will allow the CH to come on at the same time as the HW if that makes sense? i guess i need a time clock that does the same thing but am not sure if 2 channel time clocks achieve this in the same way ?

Thanks for the replies. looking at the back of the switch i have a grey cable that i believe brings on the HW and a white cable that brings on the CH ( a manual switch has to be switched on) and the HW needs to be on to achieve this. i think i have a mid position valve in the boiler. my concern...

the problem gary is that a backfeed from the remaining energised contactor is stopping the contactor you are trying to drop out from doing so.

Sparky123 ..lev1 and lev2 are both the contactors for extract fans in a small room ...nuaire is a supply air contactor used to return warm air and equalise pressure in the room. this is in a specialised room for the raf.

the problem is that the original drawing allows lev1 and lev2 to start whilst individually starting nuaire but a design flaw meant that just pressing one stop button did not drop the related contactor..only pressing both stops together would de-energise the contactors.

Gary.. when either lev1 or lev2 are energised nuaire is energised and will stay energised until both lev1 and lev2 are off. Hope this is now clear mate ..i may not have explained very well.
