Thanks for that, attempted a bit of syphoning via the outlet pipe and made self sick, however must have shifted something as is running ok now. Will have a go at checking pump tho - thanks again :)

Mine did the same, was not emptying properly. Think maybe blockage? Blew up the outlet pipe (prob not the best idea) and managed to get a few things spun properly, however appears blockd again and can't get the bloomin lid off it (done screws at back can't see how fitted at front) Any advice...
