Hi Neal thanks for you reply, I haven't confirmed it's cast iron, the pipe is very hard and is not plastic. Could it be another material?

Hello I have a very long cast iron pipe that would push my toilet away from the wall if I connect a new modern toilet. Can I cut the cast iron pipe easily or is there an alternitve i.e remove section?? Thanks :?:
